Enchanting Azemmour and El jadida

A full day tour of the Portuguese forts of Azemmour and Eljadida

The charm of the towns of El Jadida and Azemmour comes from their Medinas .Their narrow streets, beautiful buildings and gates combine a mixture of Portuguese, Arab, Andalusian and Berber architectural styles. Your tour begins with a drive from the pier to Azemmour via the charming coastal road. Stop at the entrance of Azemmour for a panoramic view of this white-washed town on the banks of the Oum Rabiaa River. Then, drive to one of the town's main gates Sidi Makhfi, named after one of the town's sophism figures. Walk through the Kasbah to reach a large square overlooking the river. Close to the square, a synagogue is still standing as a witness to the coexistence among the native inhabitants and the Jewish community. Board your coach and head to the other Portuguese town of Mazagane, later named El Jadida by the Arabs to enjoy a Moroccan-style lunch. In the afternoon, visit the cistern built by the Portuguese settlers to serve as a water reservoir in the event of a prolonged siege. Walk through the Medina and stop for a panoramic view of the port and the Atlantic Ocean. On your return to Casablanca, stop at the Hassan II Mosque for photos. There will be an optional shopping stop at Casablanca before returning to your ship.

Casablanca is Morocco's largest city and a world-renowned center for trade. Start with a visit to the central market, a massive kaleidoscope of colors and home to hundreds of stalls brimming with locally grown flowers, spices, vegetables, meats and all kinds of seafood as well as handicrafts; colorful characters can also be found here. Continue to the New Medina of Casablanca and the Habous Quarter with its attractive Arab-Islamic architecture. Admire the impressive facade of the Royal Palace and cross the quarter on foot and its colorful Olive Market. Drive through the residential quarter of Anfa, where your guide will point out the residence in which a memorable and historical meeting was held during the Second World War, in 1943. Soft drinks will be served at the charming seaside resort of Ain Diab and your drive continues to the famous Hassan II Great Mosque for a visit of this great architectural masterpiece. This is the world's largest religious monument after Mecca and its minaret is the tallest. Continue your coastal drive to Sidi Abderrahman, built on an island-like rock. Learn about the mystic fascination that this place retains, where people come to seek the saint's blessing, a cure for infertility or illness. You'll have some free time at Mohamed V's square for more photo opportunities or even some shopping.

Mystical Marrakech

 Join us for an adventure to the mystical city of Marrakech.
Day one:

 Depart Casablanca for an approximately three-hour drive across the Chaouia and Ben Guerir plains to the huge, palm-surrounded oasis that harbors Marrakech. Along the way, your guide will tell you about the history and culture of this captivating city as you pass villages and small towns, and mile-upon-mile of rural land. After a refreshment stop, the city of Marrakech unfolds, nestled at the foot of Morocco's mighty Atlas Mountains. You'll travel along boulevards lined with orange and jacaranda trees before checking in at your deluxe hotel or Riad. Enjoy a buffet-style lunch around the pool (weather permitting) and time to freshen up before your afternoon exploration of the city. See new and exciting places such as the Menara basin, the 12th-century minaret of Koutoubia, the tallest and most famous landmark in Marrakech, and the Saadian tombs, where the Royal family of the Saadian dynasty is buried. The beautiful Necropolis contains 66 indoor tombs with interiors intricately decorated with mosaics and stucco. Walk through the ancient Medina with its colorful souks before arriving at the famous Jamaa el Fna square, where fortune-tellers, magicians, fire eaters and monkey leaders mingle with Acrobats, snake charmers and popular singers; undoubtedly, the most exuberant marketplace in the world. Enjoy some free time here to soak in the atmosphere before returning to your hotel where you'll be able to relax for a while before being picked up for some more excitement before the night is over. You'll depart for dinner at a typical Moroccan restaurant (Chez Ali) under royal tents, with typical folkloric and fantasia horsemen skills show between acts, horsemen race and fire their loud rifles. After the show, you'll return to the hotel for a well-earned rest.

Day two:

After breakfast, another day of touring begins. You'll do some more sightseeing and perhaps some shopping before a visit to the 19th-century Bahia Palace, a great exponent of Moroccan architecture, with its tranquil lush gardens and magnificent decorations, including rooms that were devoted in the past to the ruler's harem. Lunch will be served in the ancient Medina, surrounded by breathtaking architecture and entertainment, including Andalusian music, reminiscent of the life of the 'One Thousand and One Nights' era of Arabian history. Then say goodbye to the city and head to Agadir to meet your ship. Relax and enjoy the views during the four-hour return drive to your ship in Agadir. A stop will be made on the way for refreshments.

The imperial Rabat

One day tour of Rabat and Casablanca

Your day starts with an approximately 1 1/2-hours drive to the diplomatic capital of Morocco, Rabat, rich in historical monuments and history. Arriving at the Mechouar Quarter, you'll admire the magnificent exterior of the Royal Palace. Continue to the archaeological Phoenician site of Chellah. Drive through the winding road overlooking the Bou Regreg River to Mohamed V Mausoleum for an inside visit. This is the place where the father of Moroccan Independence is buried. You'll also see Hassan Tower, one of the prestigious architectural heritages of the Almohad dynasty. After lunch at a typical Moroccan restaurant, continue on foot to the ancient medina and its colorful souks to arrive at the Kasbah of Oudaya, a beautiful quiet spot in the middle of busy Rabat. With its white and blue houses that seem freshly painted, is a refreshingly eye-catching spot in the middle of bustling Rabat. Visit the beautiful and tranquil Andalusian Gardens. Back in Casablanca, you'll have an orientation tour of the city including a photo stop at the Hassan II Mosque and the seaside resort of Ain Diab;
